Why ZBIGNIEW?

ZBIGNIEW CHOJNACKI

I am an improviser, accordionist, author of the modular accordion concept, and a hunter of interesting people. For 15 years, I have been expanding the possibilities of the accordion and its role beyond the accordion and classical scenes.

"If you can turn an old Polish name and a 19th-century instrument

with clear connotations into an adventure of a lifetime, then anything is possible. The instrument doesn't matter; the question is what you want to say. For me, conversation, development, and the search for beauty have always been my goal. It started with jazz, classical music along the way, experimentation shaped me, and I think what defines me is improvisation, technology and song.

What do I actually offer?

Above all, I offer a shift in perspective on art and connecting it with everyday life through the broad language of improvisation :

• ZBIGNIEW  - an improvised solo set, where we travel between British punk, techno music, and jazz with robotic elements. One man traveling the solar system. A space pirate with a modular accordion.
• NO ANGRY   is a seven-song musical comic that makes you feel like every genre matters. Connection and lack of anger is the key here. It encompasses my passion for music, which you'll discover in the song titles...
• PRZYCHODZI ZBIGNIEW I ROBI - Workshop - we discuss and build creativity by, for example, reversing perspective. How to play without a scores and take risks. How to turn a person into an arc reactor, how to unleash the inexhaustible sources of creativity within oneself, or how to treat a machine-instrument in an organic/human way. Everyone is creative and everyone is brilliant; the only condition is the desire and the ability to unleash it in the imagination, giving one the space to explore one's talents.

How much does it cost anyway?

Each session is tailor-made and individual, depending on the time available, the number of participants, and the complexity of the artistic material. We work on a bespoke basis, comparable to the IT industry, architects, or tailors. The first and most important factor in pricing is time. Everything is negotiated individually. You are all equally important; there are no major or minor players.
